Andre Curry arrested and charged with aggravated assault after posting photo of his child bound with tape to Facebook - 21st Dec 2011

A young father was arrested yesterday after he posted a photo on Facebook of his 22-month-old daughter bound and gagged.

Andre Curry, from South Side, Chicago,was charged with aggravated domestic battery after police and state welfare officials opened an investigation into the picture, which had a caption saying: 'This is wut happens when my baby hits me back.'

It showed his daughter with blue duct tape over her mouth and her wrists bound together in front of her as well as at her ankles.

The 21-year-old is due to appear in court later today.

The photograph generated intense internet backlash since it was uploaded in July but authorities only started an investigation into it recently. Read More
