According to Appalachian Voices and ILoveMountains.org, the vast majority of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) opposes mountaintop removal. This opposition comes in the form of their cosponship of H.R. 1310, the Clean Water Protection Act, which effectively bans the practice by protecting nearby creeks and streams.
